Designed specifically for the Traeger Timberline 850, the Pimp My Grill® G3 Slide-Out Rack System brings your food to you with two heavy-duty, removable cooking racks that slide smoothly out of the grill for easier access.

But this isn't simply a set of replacement grill grates.

The Timberline's unique construction gave us the opportunity to engineer an entire rack-support system around the grill itself. The PMG system replaces the factory side panels with heavy-duty steel panels that support our patent-pending slide-out track system, while also changing the angle of the factory grease tray to encourage grease to flow toward the drain.

The result is a purpose-built Timberline 850 upgrade designed around better access, more useful cooking configurations, easier grease management, and a better overall cooking workflow.

Built-in stops help prevent the racks from accidentally being pulled completely out during normal use, while each rack can still be intentionally removed in seconds when you need additional vertical clearance or access inside the grill.

The Traeger Timberline 850 required a different approach than simply dropping new grates into the cooking chamber.

PMG replaces the factory side panels with heavy-duty steel side panels engineered to become the foundation of the rack system itself.

These panels:

The 2-rack G3 system gives you three available cooking positions, allowing you to configure the grill around what you're cooking.

Need maximum space between the racks? Run the bottom and top positions.

Want to change the height of one of your cooking surfaces? Move a rack to the middle position.

Cooking something tall? Remove a rack completely in seconds.

Put More of the Timberline Cooking Chamber to Work

One of the biggest advantages of a multi-level pellet grill rack system is being able to use more of the vertical space already inside the cooking chamber.

With the racks installed in the bottom and top positions, you get a full 8 inches from the bottom rack to the top rack, with another 5 3/8 inches from the top rack to the top of the grill.

That generous upper clearance makes the top position useful for much more than a thin warming rack.

Use the different levels to take advantage of the heat, smoke, and convection characteristics of different areas within your Timberline—and configure the racks around the food you're cooking.

Engineered to Improve Grease Drainage

Here's another example of why the Timberline system is more than a rack upgrade.

On the Timberline 850, the grease tray is supported by the side panels. Since PMG was already replacing those panels to support the Slide-Out Rack System, we were able to engineer the replacement panels to increase the pitch of the grease tray.

Why?

A steeper pitch encourages grease to move toward the grill's grease drain rather than sitting on the tray.

It's a small engineering detail with a very practical purpose—and exactly the kind of opportunity we look for when developing PMG upgrades.
