Directions:
Place grill in a cool dry area. Clean grill exterior with any mild household cleaner (no bleach). Apply a thin layer of Pit Protector (thick layer for sun damaged grills) to the exterior of the grill with a microfiber towel. Allow 30 minutes for product to cure and penetrate. With a clean microfiber towel, wipe any excess Pit Protector product from grill.

Whether you have a grill cover or not, Pit Protector is an absolute must. I recently decided to keep my smoker and grill more exposed to the elements on a regular basis and decided to give this a go. This stuff is absolutely amazing. Made my grills look brand new again and keeps it protected from rust for 24 months.

I've had my eye on the Pit Protector since I saw it was announced early in 2023. Once it was in stock I pulled the trigger and I am happy I did. So this stuff is just like it sounds - it protects against rust damage, as well as UV related paint fade and paint damage from grease and environmental factors, like acidic rain and stuff like that. It restores faded paint to bring back some of that original color to the paint as well. In short you clean the exterior of the grill with a cleaner/degreaser, and once dry wipe the Pit Protector on - think ArmorAll when it goes on it has a wet look. Using a lint free applicator, like a micro-fiber cloth you apply a coat of the Pit Protector, let it sort of soak in for about 30 minutes. and wipe off the excess. Its that easy. Once done you are protected for quite a while too, and re-application is as easy as what you did the first time. I have a GMG Prime and it is, as my family says, a big ol' beast. I bet I used maybe 3 - 4 ounces of the Pit Protector when I put it on, maybe less I didn't measure. What I can say for certain is there enough for several applications. I'd suggest you wear some nitrate gloves while applying though as it does make your hands a lil slippery till its washed off. From easy application to restored paint and protection from future paint issues this stuff sure seems like a winner to me.
